For those of you that plan to fish the Thunder Valley Outdoors/Future Pro Tour’s “End of summer Shootout” event – Saturday, September 17th on the California Delta, but may not get the chance to get on the river to pre-fish….stop worrying, help is on the way as a special “pre-fish” show will be aired this Saturday and Sunday on Comcast Sports Net California featuring pro angler Dow Lewis Motors pro angler Chad Martin, and the “Frogmaster” himself, Bobby Barrack, who took the time out of their busy schedules to help FPT anglers participating in the event, “break down” both the east and west sides of the California delta giving everyone a better opportunity for success during the event.
This special 30-minute pre-fish show will air this Saturday at 3:30pm, Sunday at 7:30am and Tuesday at 3:30pm on Comcast Sports Net California. It can also be seen on various cable networks throughout the entire west and country – even if your cable provider is not Comcast. (see cable channel listings below). The September 17th event will be both exciting and challenging in that anglers will be faced with those late summer/early fall conditions that typically put bass in that hard-to-pattern “transitional” phase.
Late sign-ups for the event will take place from 4-6am at Russo’s Marina, where limited memberships of just $5 dollars per angler will be available for those just fishing this event, PLUS all anglers will be greeted with FREE fresh brewed Starbucks coffee, fresh pastries, and energy snacks (to take with them on the water), and there will be a FREE BBQ during the weigh-in activities – all presented for the anglers by the tour’s newest sponsor Nationwide Insurance.
