With the field of competitors now set at only 78 teams for the 10th annual Thunder Valley Outdoors Future Pro Tour Classic, to be held Nov 3-4 on the Sacramento River and the California delta, you can best believe that those teams fortunate enough to have qualified and earned the right to be in the competition, will be searching in earnest over the next two weeks for any advantage they can to gain an edge over the rest of the field, and increase their chances of taking home the coveted FPT Classic crown and the keys to a new Ranger/Evinrude package worth over $35,000.
And to assist those competitors with their quest for information, a special FPT Classic pre-fish show will air this weekend on Comcast Sportsnet California, which will provide valuable tips and techniques that can be used to prepare competitors for the Classic venue – especially on the virtually uncharted Sacramento River.
The show features Ranger pro Richard Dobyns, breaking down the various areas of the upper Sacramento River system, such as the Sutter Bypass and Verona slough regions, along with FLW touring pro Ken Mah, and 4-time B.A.S.S elite series champion Ish Monroe, who will pinpoint specific cranking and punching techniques that can be applied to deliver maximum results on the southern regions of the river such as the Walnut Grove, and Miner slough areas.
So whether you are participating in the Classic event or you are just and angler who has always wondered about the bass fishing potential of the Sacramento River, you need to tune in for this special FPT Classic pre-fish show, as there will be something for everyone to learn about bass fishing on the Sacramento river!
This special 30-minute pre-fish show will air this Saturday (8:30:00am), and Sunday (7:00am) and next Tues (12:30pm) on Comcast Sports Net California and can be seen on various cable networks throughout the entire west and country – even if your cable provider is not Comcast.
