Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) modification contract was awarded on June 18 and data is being collected for input into the air quality and health risk analysis for two of the risk management plans.
The team submitted the Senior Oversight Group (SOG) read-ahead on 19 June. Policy review submittal with accompanying Agency Technical Review (ATR) certification is scheduled for the week of 26 June.
PED Project Management efforts continue. Comments and revision have been incorporated into the design schedule and cost estimate as part of the Project Management Plan (PMP)
The draft Real Estate Design Memorandum (REDM) was completed and is currently under ATR
The ATR was completed on the Draft DSMR on 19 June
The Project Delivery Team (PDT) and Operations met with FERC with their Regional and HQ personnel to discuss the Borel Canal and power generation at the project.
Looking Ahead (next 30 days)
The team is preparing presentation material for the upcoming SOG meeting on 17 July.
The team is communicating with USFS about coordination of upcoming tasks and funding. Project Management is setting up reoccurring monthly meetings to ensure both agencies have an understanding for the project and path forward.
Updates to NEPA documentation will continue in preparation for the Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS).
The Independent External Peer Review contract was awarded 13 June and a kickoff meeting occurred on 21 June. The panel will begin with a site visit on 10 June and will be fully engaged in reviewing documents.
Current Lake Status
The current pool resides at 179,121 acre-ft, an elevation of 2561.92 feet (Isabella Project Datum) which is 48% of the restricted pool. As part of our interim risk reduction measures, Isabella Lake has a restricted elevation of 2585.5 feet.
