The mission statement behind Cody Roberson ArmyBassAnglers (ABA) is “SUPPORT. DEFEND. FISH.,” and Craig Pettigrew, CEO and founder of Reservefishing.com, pledged their support today of the ABA mission through a multi-year sponsorship.
“We are very fortunate to partner with a phenomenal organization like the ArmyBassAnglers. Their efforts to support the men and women of the armed forces are extremely valuable, and any time we can help thank veterans for the sacrifices they make each day, even if just offering another fishing opportunity, we will jump at it. We know from experience that the partners, anglers and veterans involved with the ABA coalition are some of the hardest working, most dedicated and conscientious people in the country, and we can’t wait to watch this partnership grow in the future.”
ABA consists of 12 Pro Staff anglers and hundreds Coalition Pro Staff and Task Force anglers all of whom are active duty or retired U.S. military from all branches of service. The group currently fishes Bass Champs on the World Fishing Network and numerous grass roots events and gained national prominence as the Ceremonial Launch Boats for the past four Bassmasters Classics, while raising national awareness for Returning Heroes Home, Heroes on the Water and Veteran Outdoors.
The Warrior & Family Support Center, ABA’s original nonprofit it supported, is a 12,000 square-foot rehabilitation center, funded solely by private donations. The center provides space for wounded soldiers undergoing treatment in San Antonio, allowing them to spend private time with their friends and families when they are not actively participating in rehabilitative treatment.
Heroes on the Water (HOW) is a national nonprofit 501c3 that focuses its efforts on kayaking and fishing as a rehabilitative outdoor activity for wounded veterans recovering from their combat injures. HOW is an incredible alternative to power boat fishing and outdoor recreation that has provided very inspiring results, both in physical and emotional rehabilitation.
Veteran Outdoors is a nonprofit 501c3 that completes the ArmyBassAngler’s Task Force of nonprofits. Veteran Outdoors provides big game one-of-a-kind hunting and fishing experiences for wounded veterans with some of the country’s most experienced professionals and guides all focused on the wounded hero and his story.
“We are extremely excited about joining forces with Reservefishing.com and the ability to add another incredible organization to our arsenal of incredible sponsors that make our mission possible. Reservefishing.com is just the perfect solution for all returning heroes seeking to book that ‘redeployment fishing trip, vacation or guided trip’ with some of the best guides and companies out there. Or even if they are just home on R&R from their deployment and want to get away, Reservefishing.com has hundreds of guides and anglers prepared to make that trip a reality on some of the best lakes and coastlines in the country. With that said, ABA is continually seeking premier companies to support our mission, and Reservefishing.com is a perfect combat multiplier to add the family of sponsors. We couldn’t be happier and look forward to a long relationship both on and off the water supporting opportunities to get our veterans on the water at every turn—HOOAH,” stated Cody Roberson, president of ArmyBassAnglers.
