Press Release: Gradient tints
Gary Nesty, O.D., optometrist and owner of Solar Bat® Sunglasses, announces that Solar Bat®’s Mossback® and Amber Gradient polarized lens tints have been awarded a US patent. Dr. Nesty states, “The gradient tints stand poised to revolutionize polarized sunglasses for sight fishing”. The top 55% of the gradient lens is the darker Mossback® or Amber tint that gradually transitions into HiContrastYellow in the bottom 45% of the lens. When looking straight ahead the wearer is viewing through the dark tint. When the fisherman moves into the shadows, by raising the head slightly, everything becomes brighter through the HiContrastYellow portion of the lens. Solar Bat® also offers these two tints in an inverted configuration. With the HiContrastYellow portion at the top of the lens the fisherman can tilt his head down to look under docks or overhanging trees by viewing through the brighter tint. All of the advantages of having two different sunglass tints with the convenience of n
ot having to change sunglasses to meet changing light conditions. Solar Bat® sunglasses are made in the USA. See the full line of Solar Bat® sunglasses at www.solarbat.com or call 800-761-8228 for a catalog.
