Bass Angler Magazine’s Editor-in-Chief, Mark Lassagne announced today that the Spring edition of the mag has been sent to press a week early.  This has been quite a feat for BAM the “must have tool for bass anglers” as they have accomplished this amidst their new widespread expansion, showing at the International Sportsmens Expo and promo for the Bassmaster Classic Expo.

The 2011 Spring issue will feature fishing icon, Mike Folkestad on the cover and packs over 30 articles inside the pages.  Along with a destination piece that focuses on the California Delta, information and interests presented are Bass Movement a Real life Study with Folkestad, Spring time Boat Maintenance and the Wounded Warrior.

Also in this issue the publication tackles techniques on;

  • Iced Out Bass
  • Peacock Bass
  • Springtime Bass Habits
  • Small Pond Big Bass
  • Pre and Post Spawn Bass
  • When Bass Aren’t Bitin’
  • Big Rivers
  • Early Season Flippin’
  • Change with Changes
  • Released Bass
  • Suspended Bass with Cody Meyer
  • Dartheads
  • Flip Shotting

Lassagne commented on going to press a week early by saying,

“With all the excitement going on here at Bass Angler it’s a wonder we’re even close to being on time but with some hard work and a dedicated graphic artist we have this issue at the printer a week ahead of schedule.  Though we have never missed a mailing deadline timing is now more important than ever. Bass Angler is moving its national distribution to a pool shipper and they require more lead time than our direct shipments. Tackle shop orders will still be shipped direct from Los Angeles but national shipping will now go out of Chicago.  Subscriber mailing will now go out of Los Angeles instead of San Ramon, CA we are hoping mailing from LA will speed up the time it takes for subscribers to get the magazine which has typically been up to five weeks.”
