Cody Roberson, President and Founder of ArmyBassAnglers, fished without long time partner Don Bailey who had a more pressing family commitment. Given the strong winds and lacking much needed assistance from a fishing partner, he stayed fairly close to the ramp and chose to fish in a cove protected somewhat from the 40 mph gusts.

They had a total of 109 fish of all species and several gill nets. Both persons were Asian and were cited, the boat and trailer were impounded. In May of 2011 David and Vern were requested to appear in court as witnesses of the state. Both defendants pleaded no contest and were fined $1,000.00 each that had to be paid prior to release. In September 2011 David Burns and Vern Price were awarded each a check for $250.00 for the arrest and conviction of the 2 poachers—HOOAH!

Their first 3 fish were caught outside the marina off the eastern point. They managed 2 keepers in the live-well. Once they got to their first spot in Echo Bay Jim threw a drop shot on a rock point that Burns had lost a great smallmouth during pre-fish. Jim slammed that puppy and they had our 3rd fish in the live-well, they then headed to 3 coves that Burns had done very well earlier in the week.

After recovering from back surgery to repair a ruptured disc in January, ArmyBassAngler Pro Dave Behm returns to a top 10 finish for his 1st tournament of the year. The first tournament back found Dave Behm fishing Lake Mojave on the Arizona and Nevada border.

For the team of Chuck Guthrie and Chad Nelson, fish under 18 inches were easy to catch. They caught at least three 5-fish limits of 16 to 18 inch fish on a wide variety of baits. The first several fish came on topwater baits and the rest of the day was spent catching and slightly upgrading their two “unders” on Carolina Rigs, Shaky heads, and Texas rigged Lake Fork soft plastic baits. “We saw fish stacked up like crazy on the graph; we just couldn’t get them to bite with any consistency,”
