Quantum EXO Reels
Quantum has released 
their Exoskeletal line-up for 2012. These reels are built around the premise of “Metal where it Matters” where they have significantly reduced weight in non-critical locations throughout the reel by using a light-weight composite. This allowed Quantum to build an ultra-light frame without sacrificing the structural integrity of the reel or using expensive Magnesium components. You can get EXO reels in both spinning and baitcasting versions. The baitcasting reels are available in three ratios ranging from 5.3:1 to 7.3:1 and the spinning reels are available in 25 and 30 size offerings. The EXO baitcasting reel weighs in at 5.9 ounces while the 25 size spinning reel weighs 6.9 ounces. The MSRP on the EXO baitcasting reel is $249.99 while the EXO spinning will set you back $199.99.
